Black in Space (formerly Makers Lab) celebrates the artistry, diversity, and resilience of Black LGBTQ+ communities through media, storytelling, and immersive experiences.
In 2020 during the covid-19 Pandemic, we hosted the very first virtual DC Black Pride.
I acted as Creative Director, helping organize and curate talent via video submissions while also editing pieces according to festival standards. Below is one of the visualizers I created from Black In Space using community footage and a music mix by Onrae' Lateal.
The Black in Space DC Virtual Pride experience went on to be archived with the DC Public Library, forever a part of history.
